Hello everyone! My name is Kaitlyn. I was born and raised in the foothills of East Tennessee. I am a queer woman who grew up in the Bible Belt. I have a Master of Arts in Religion focusing in Historical Theology, and have spent a year in a convent devoting my life to God and the Church. I have since deconstructed and reconstructed much about what I believe.

 

Spoken Silence blog is written with the intent of shedding light on topics we tend to hide away in darkness. This includes (but is not limited to) the doubts and struggles one faces in modern American Christianity. I believe that through  telling our stories and through giving language to our pain, we will find hope and healing. My prayer is that as you read along, you find this for yourselves.
